Our dachshunds are our house pets. They are all AKC Registered and long coated. We pamper our furkids. We hope you would do the same. Dachshunds are quite long lived, often well into their teens so be prepared for a long time commitment. *** NEWS FLASH*** APPROXIMATELY 20 DACHSHUNDS WERE SURRENDERED FROM A PUPPY MILL TO MY FRIEND, KASIE AT DOXTAIL KENNELS in Florida. MANY ARE WORKING WITH HER TO HELP FIND THESE GUYS NEW HOMES. THEY WERE JUST PICKED UP ON MAY 12th, SO WE DO NOT HAVE PICTURES YET, BUT MALES AND FEMALES WILL BE AVAILABLE IN SMOOTH/SHORT AND LONGHAIR COATS. I WILL BE POSTING UPDATES AS I GET THEM. AS OF PICK UP, THE DOGS ARE CRITICALLY UNDERWEIGHT, INFESTED WITH WORMS, ANEMIC FROM FLEAS AND TICKS, AND ARE REQUIRING MUCH VET CARE. THEY WILL BE READY FOR ADOPTION AFTER THEY ARE VACCINATED, DE-WORMED, AND TEMPERAMENT TESTED. ALL DOGS WILL ALSO BE ALTERED PRIOR TO GOING TO THEIR NEW HOMES. THERE WILL BE A SMALL ADOPTION FEE OF THESE DOGS TO HELP COVER VET COSTS, FOOD, ETC SINCE SHE IS WORKING THROUGH THE SITUATION ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS AND FROM HER OWN POCKETS. WE WILL HAVE PICTURES OF THEM ON THIS SITE SHORTLY, AFTER THEY HAVE HAD BATHS AND SUCH, BUT PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT Myself, Tiffany (she is helping foster some) OR KASIE (863-528-2918- HER CELL) IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ONE OF THESE SPECIAL DOGS. I URGE YOU TO PLEASE CONSIDER ONE OF THESE DOGS BEFORE A PUPPY. Kasie has not had time to post anything on her website yet, she is busy bathing/worming and doing initial care for these lost souls.
